University of Miami’s Jimmy Murphy says he can’t thank his football teammates enough

I think it just came to me. I don’t know, I was just so excited. It was in the moment.>>Jimmy,
coach calls your number late in the game. How does that feel to kind
of get some offensive snaps?>>Feels great. Whatever the coach wants me to do,
I’m gonna do it. I love this program, whether it’s
handing out water to the players, or whether it’s scoring a touchdown. I mean, there’s nothing like
being a Miami Hurricane.>>When your teammates say they
don’t wanna run against you, they don’t wanna give
up a 15-yard penalty. They say, Jimmy, that’s my dog. We’ll do anything for Jimmy. How does that make you feel, knowing that
you have that much support from your dogs? [BLANK_AUDIO]>>Like I said, I mean, I wouldn’t be
back here if it wasn’t for Coach Diaz. He brought me back, I didn’t know if
I was gonna ever come back and play. I thought I was done with the game,
and he brought me back, so I just wanna really thank him. And the rest of my teammates, I mean, it’s
just amazing the bond that we are making. It’s not just me, I mean,
everyone feels like that for everyone. I mean, I think to my teammates,
I can’t thank them enough. I remember going out, and right before I
was just about to score that touchdown, we had N’Kosi Perry in there. And I mean, we’re all very close,
but when you go out there, and you have the coaches look at
your linemen dead in the eye and say, we gotta get this,
not for Murph, just for us. So it wasn’t just for me, it was for the
Canes community, and it’s bigger than me. I just love being a Hurricane,
and I love doing it with my boys.>>Can you describe what was going on?>>I’m pretty sure that’s close
enough to when your child’s born. That’s how much it meant to me, okay?>>[LAUGH]
>>That was just an unbelievable feeling, and for certain I’ll have that for life. [BLANK_AUDIO]
