The Best Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Setups Based On Science!

Ever since humans could paint on cave walls…we’ve
asked ourselves, “Who are the best characters, and what are the best kart setups in Mario
Kart 8 deluxe?” Well, thanks to the work of data analyst Henry
Hinnefeld, and a concept known as the Pareto Frontier, we now have the scientifically proven
answer! But what’s the Pareto Frontier you ask?
Is it some kind of wild west of Italian Parrots? Mama mia! No, let me explain… If you’re familiar with the options in Mario
Kart then you’ll know each character and part has a pool of stats, such as weight,
top speed and acceleration. And when it has more of one stat, like acceleration, it comes
at the cost of another stat, like top speed. So by taking all the stats from every character
and part, and creating a chart of every possible combination, we find the Pareto Frontier…
these points on the frontier represent all the best possible allocation of stats. All
of these other dots represent setups where you end up with lower overall stats than you
could get from a better setup, we call these trash. The results showed that characters in Wario’s
class, which also include, Bowser, Morton, and Mii Heavy, had the highest number of optimal
setups. Karts within the biddybuggy’s class, which
also include the Mr Scooty bike and Landship kart, also fared extremely well. While in the tyre department, the roller’s
class, including the azure roller, and button, was the clear top choice. When you combine those three options you will
end up with one of the most balanced builds possible. Sitting somewhere in the middle
for all stats. However, I personally would swap out the biddybuggy
class kart out for one with better top speed. I’d roll with something in the Gold standard
class of kart, which also include the Mach 8, Sports Coupe, and Circuit Special karts.
They’ll offer high speed, decent acceleration and won’t sacrifice too much traction or
handling! And if you want the highest top speed possible
at the expense of acceleration, swap those tyres for slick or cyber slick tyres and you’ll
be going so fast, it’ll make your head spin around faster than if you’d just hit a banana! At the end of the day though remember, Mario
Kart is more than just numbers on a spread sheet, so if you love Yoshi, then play with
Yoshi. Crossing the line first takes more than science! It takes
a whole lot of skill, a pinch of luck, and if everyone could just STOP IT WITH THE BLUE
SHELLS ALREADY! I’m trying to come first here! WARIO
Wario always wins!
