How To Install Multi-Color LEDinsider Flexible LED Strip Lights

These are installation instructions for LEDinsider’s
18” multicolor adhesive strip LED lights When you open the package your going to see
a couple things This is the LED strips themselves They come in electrostatic packaging Each of them is hypocsy covered so there waterproof They come with four pin connectors on each
side These actually come out and go back in so
that you can connect these as is needed It also comes with a controller The controller has an infared receptor for
the remote controlled color. And has two outputs for connecting the strips
to. And also has an input for a twelve volt DC. Now a twelve vote DC can either plug into
your car or your mobile home through this connection or if you have low voltage wiring
in your house you can use this and plug it straight in. If you are running off of house voltage this
here is a adapter and is good here in the US or anywhere else in the world. So for the purposes of today were gonna plug
this in to the controller. From the controller were going to go ahead
and connect up to the strips There we go we got some light going already. The system also comes with a remote control. The remote control has 15 different colors. White as well as well as the ability to dim
these 15 colors An on/off switch And then also the ability to do a flash, strobe,
fade and smooth. The flash is a one second flash between colors. Theres also the strobe which does a three
second gradiated change a little slower And then in the fade it does a smooth transition. Now the installation of this when you install
it it comes with an adhesive strip on the back. All you do is peel back this little strip
right here. Make sure what your adhering it to is very
clean. Clean it off with some windex or alcohol or
some other cleaner. If you add additional lighting you can just
string these on as long as you like. And the light is very very bright. Great for under counters, cove lighting, mood
setting in kitchens, underneath tables so that it casts a glow down on the floor. Great for parties. Wonderful product. Look forward to seeing it brighten your home. This is a sample application. You can see the wonderful colors. Enjoy!

  • Looks like cool product. I think I'll put it in my meditation room at crate a good vibe. I wonder how many strips I can put together?

  • can i ask i have recently bought some strip lighting with a simple 12v AC power supply and the leds are constantly flickering. Any ideas why? do they have to run off DC power?

  • The controller is run on 12V DC. We use 3 amp and 12 amp 12VDC power supplies that run on 120VAC. We use the 3 amp for up to 16 feet and the 6 amp for up to 50 feet. We have not tried a 12V AC supply.

  • @djshu : the controller runs on 12VDC so you can use 1.5v batteries if configured to output 12VDC with sufficient amps for the number of strips you are using.

  • hmm ok ive given the 12v dc 12A a shot and its just flashing. my strip is about 2.5m long.. is there not enough current? thanks for your help 🙂

  • @mokenaman1 : There are both 2 strip and 4 strip packages. The 18" strips are also available separately and in 5 meter (16 foot) lengths.

  • @MaxShawProductions : there are extenders and connectors for the strips that include: Extenders (like extension cables) : 12inch, 20 inch, 5 foot
Connectors (for splitting and making turns with the strips) : X, T, and L shaped.

  • @MaxShawProductions : You can use connectors and extenders to split the strips and wire between areas that you want to have light.

  • @funkdaddy001 :
For the 2 strip package $59, includes: IR controller and 24 key remote and power supply, and 2 x 18 inch strips and a 12v battery connector.
For the 4 strip package: $89, includes: IR controller and 24 key remote and power supply, and 4 x 18 inch strips and a 12v battery connector.
For the 5 meter of strip package: $199, includes: IR controller and 24 key remote and power supply, and five meters (16 feet) of strips.

  • @funkdaddy001 : Check out the "Specialty LED" section of the EagleLight web site to find pricing on this product.

  • How could I use this with a (non-car) battery?
Just like a standard small 12V Energizer battery?
    Thanks

  • @Liquidmetal2009
We have many customers that use these for lighting PCs using the 12VDC source as well as behind flat screens. Other uses include behind head boards, in bar shelves to light bottles and glasses and under tables to light up the table cloths.

  • @Wardo8551
The package includes an adapter that can be connected to a 12VDC battery source, this can include a series of 8 1.5 VDC batteries or a series of 2 x 6VDC batteries. The positive goes to the tip of the adapter that goes to the controller. That is the marked wire on the connector.

  • hey id like to install LED lights into a pair of Clear Nike Air Force shoes, is that possible? if so, how could i make it happen?

  • @cad2011

Are you fucking retarded? Unless you figure out a way to walk around with your shoes plugged into the wall. By all means, go and purchase 30ft of extension cords and see how far you get walking around.

  • question for anyone who knows the answer:

now if i installed this in my car, im thinking about putting it on my front bumber, but would the remote be able to change the colors if im sitting inside the car? jsut want to check before i order this and it doesnt work…

    thanks for the help

  • I have a question…
can you connect another 18' led lights and do the same colors light up all together. not all the colors together but all the blues, than all the red etc.?

  • Can these be used as interior floor lights in a car? Anyway ideas on how to plug them in in a car? Really cool product =)

  • @andrei91andrej The product shown is a multi color product and needs a controller. It can be run off of a 12 volt power supply. For additional parts check out eaglelight.

  • @dirrnet66 This looks good. Can you cut the strips to fit the size you want? Like I need 2 about 8 inch strips but I can't find any where that sells that size.

  • @oROMINEo Yes, they can be cut every 3 LEDs or about each 3 inches. Contact us at EagleLight phone number at top of site page, and we will help you with specifics. Our shortest strip is 18 inches but you can cut one to 2 9 inch lengths for your application if that works. Each controller has two connections so you can use one controller to light each 9 inch strip. Call or email if you need more support.

  • Do they have to be plugged in for use? I need LED strips to put on shoes for a performance, or bboying at clubs.
